The students were able to pick their own groups and then together, collaborate on who to do the timeline on.
The girls chose Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and
Gabby Douglas. These were great choices and boy, did we find out a lot about them!
The boys and Katelyn, chose The Olympics and Kevin Durant. I am so glad that they Olympics was chosen considering we are going to be participating in the 2014 Winter Olympics in 2 weeks.
The class was so interested in Gabby D. that I showed a quick YouTube video on Gabby's performance where she won the Gold Medal. Fascinating!! They LoVed it!!
3B had some interesting choices also. They boys chose Crayola, Flyers and the Herr's Chip Factory. We learned a lot about crayons and Flyers and then we ended with a little snack of chips. Who doesn't love that??
The girls chose Selena Gomez and Walt Disney. I was so happy with all of them, but especially happy with Walt Disney because I find him to be fascinating and knew the students would enjoy it.
What a great group project to do in class. The students did all the work and put everything together in class. Its nice to see how well they work together.
It is especially nice to see how PROUD they are of their finished product!!

ReplyDeleteThis is Barbie- I liked doing the posters but it was hard to bring in all the dates and stuuf to put on the poster and all the supplys but it was still fun because i like who i workd with and just doimg the poster It was really FUN!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteThis is Molly-I loved making the posters! I loved my partners!! Can we make something simaler to it but waaaaaaaaaaaay fun but the posters were fun also!!!!!!!!!!
