Over the years, I have accumulated many homemade ornaments both from my own children and students. I wanted to have a special place for them so I decided to have a separate little tree in my home for just the ornaments that my own children have made for me. This tree has become a favorite in my house. These ornaments no longer get 'lost' in the tree with all the other ornaments. My daughter has now started to set up this tree each year!
I took this idea and decided to also do it in school. I have a small tree up for the season and when they make or give me an ornament, it gets hung right up on the tree. I often have older students come into the class and ask if "their" ornament is on the tree!
