Well, here we are at Catholic Schools Week! We are about 1/2 way through the year. How exciting!
This week is so crazy at our school. We do so many activities out of the ordinary. And the kids know it too! They are just a crazzzzzy! But all in all, it is a lot of fun for all! One of the activities that went on today was to honor our volunteers. They were able to come in for a social of treats made by the teachers and then visit the classrooms. (We also get to enjoy them when there are leftovers.....yum!) The weather was not cooperating so we didn't get a lot of volunteers today. The activity I planned for this particular time was that my math students we be involved in math centers. Now, this is new for me, so I am learning as I go along. I was hoping that some of the parents would come in and participate in the games if they would like. I had 7 centers with 3 students in each center. Some of the games they played were mult/div. bingo, money bingo, add/sub crosswords, a math board game and some dice games. I asked the students when we were done if they enjoyed it and they said they did!
I am going to have to tweek some games and add as we go along, but overall, they did have fun! I have posted some pictures of the students participating and I also added 2 dice games to share. Hope you enjoy!
